Door Automatic Locking and Unlocking Schedule

Faculty should be aware that North Quad has an automatic door and elevator locking and unlocking schedule. If you teach in the morning or in the late afternoon or evening you will need both your MCard and key to (re)enter the building.

Door and Elevator Weekday Unlock Schedule

External Doors
7:00 am - 10:00 pm

South Tower Elevators to 3rd and 4th Floors

7:30 am - 5:30 pm

Stairwell Doors to 3rd and 4th Floors

7:30 am - 5:30 pm

UMSI Classrooms (1255, 1265, 2185, 2245, 2255)

7:00 am - 10:00 pm (Locked in the summer unless courses or events are held in these rooms)

UMSI Meeting Rooms and Student Lounge (on 1st Floor)

These doors are always locked by default. Your MCard will unlock any of these rooms that are available for them to reserve or use.

UMSI Specialty Labs (1275, 1285, 1287)

These doors are always locked by default

UMSI Server Room (7th floor)

This door is always locked by default

NOTE: All of these doors are locked by default for all hours of the weekend, holidays, and UM season days.
